The advice came from a complex and wildly successful businessman named Robert Griggs and became a foundational part of how she approaches leadership, business strategy, and the organizations she advises today.

“You can’t always control timing, disruption, market conditions, leadership changes, or opportunity itself,” she says. “But you can control whether or not you are prepared when the moment arrives.”

Deeply committed to leadership and community impact, Amy serves on the Executive Board of the National Human Resource Association of St. Louis, is a Chapter Leader for Women Empowering Women National in the St. Louis region, and serves as Executive Board Vice President for the Job Seekers’ Garden Club, a non-profit in the St. Louis area. In recognition of her leadership and service, she was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2025 by the JSGC.

The values that matter most to Amy are honesty, integrity, curiosity, and accountability.
